dog friendly

Hello friends! Sorry for my infrequent posts so far, other web stuff has taken priority. Regardless, my wife and I have a 20 lb barkless dog named Oni who we'd hate to leave behind when we move. I've looked on craigslist and found many places that allow pets. My question to you is how pet friendly is LA? It seems that those I've asked about it personally have all said people don't really have dogs there. Is pet rent steep? Do dog parks exist in LA? Does anyone reading this blog own a dog in LA? Any comments you have would be very helpful. I wish you all the best!

no. you are going to have to give oni to me.

just kidding.

LA actually is quite a dog friendly area. well... let me say more on that. LOTS of people have dogs there. of course, for the most part, LA tends to be a concrete jungle, but there are dog parks all over to be found. you can see people walking their dogs around LA all the time. my brother actually worked at an emergency hospital up there and had his two dogs in a neighborhood where you would see other people and their dogs daily.
