What's public transit like in Los Angeles? Denver in recent years has stepped up its public transit system with the addition of a long stretch of lightrail.The new line runs from the heart of downtown to about 40 miles south of the city. It created an alternative to driving to the busiest business districts just outside of the city. Does L.A. have any public transit like this? If so, where do the train lines run from and to? Is it efficient or just a pain in the ass?

Best Beaches in L.A.
Just a quick question today, anyone have a list of their favorite beaches in the Los Angeles area? How about in the cities to the north and south?
Also, what are the beach-going months of the year? We were there in September and the water was pretty cold. Is this always the case? Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
