Best Beaches in L.A.
Just a quick question today, anyone have a list of their favorite beaches in the Los Angeles area? How about in the cities to the north and south?
Also, what are the beach-going months of the year? We were there in September and the water was pretty cold. Is this always the case? Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

well, the obvious to state, is the water temp totally depends on the weather and normal earth-type relativites and all that. but typically, from maybe May - August/September, the water tends to be pretty bearable to nice. I was raised in Orange County, about an hour south of LA or so. beaches in that county are choice, i tell ya. just a lot of fantastic spots. a lot of the LA beaches tend to be not as much "beachy"... kind of what i always pictured east coast beaches to be like.
