Where have I been?
To be completely honest I don't have a good answer. I've been around but just haven't been able to work up the energy to blog. Lame excuse I know. Especially considering I don't have a job.
I can partially blame the free electric guitar I received recently. It along with the acoustic guitar I received for my birthday are irresistible when I've got nothing else I really have to do. Also, when compared to laundry and dishes learning that Weezer song I've always wanted to sounds pretty good.
So, I've been playing some guitar, trying to keep the place clean, dogparking with Oni so much that the dogwalkers think I'm a dogwalker and trying (and failing) not to drink too much. Nothing makes you feel like more of a loser than waking up jobless and hungover on a Monday.
Starting yesterday Nicole and I decided to give up the booze until the holidays. It was becoming an expensive daily habit and it should be easier for us to focus on the important things without the haze. Also, I've been on this little weight loss kick for the last 8 months or so and I think I've plateaued with respect to the amount of weight I can lose without further changing my diet.
I'm going to do my damnedest to come up with some intelligent things to say in the near future.
I will close with a picture of Oni playing our new guitar. He's a huge Led Zep fan and is teaching me Stairway to Heaven.
